They bond over art and their upbringings before Gael takes her to his loft and shows her his art. He remembers her as the nice lady who buys her coffee. Callie and Jude were placed in the foster care system. Callie normally doesn't wear a lot of makeup unless attending a formal event. They refused to give him medication so he refused to leave his cell, so the guards sprayed him in the face and began hitting him. Is Callie to scared to let. Callie promises to call her from the airport and when she lands. Callie wonders why Mariana hasn't called her back. He doesnt want her to do this alone. She took money from the retainer to give to Denise and help her get away. In another home a year later, Jude tried on a dress owned by their foster father's ex-wife. Kathleen and Callie exchange a look. Stef and Lena are okay with that since shes being true to herself which is all they can ask. He also has a good credit score. She continues to stay that the system can label her as sexually volatile if they find any supporting evidence, in which case, she would be placed in a group home and never be fostered again. Feeling a bit better, Callie goes inside to witness the adoption. The sister quickly lay down pretending to sleep. However, he soon discovers that Dani had sex with a drunken Brandon one night and arrests her for statutory rape. Callie presents a signed affidavit saying its the same as it was the night of the murder. After sharing a bathroom with four siblings, the thought of sharing one other with a dozen strangers was a nightmare. Lena tells Callie that a few kids gave Jude a rough time at school for wearing nail polish and Callie goes tell Jude to take it off. Callie is saddened by the news because Wyatt is one of the only people who showed her kindness. Callie tells her that she doesn't have to go back to Evan as non-compete agreements aren't enforceable in California. Rowan remarks on how awesome their first case is, ready to get a photo of them with the boxes. They apologize for their actions toward one another, and Callie admits that she slept with Gael again. Callie caught it though. Later, Callie and Jude meet Lena's mother, who welcomes them. Liam worked his way into convincing Callie that he cared for her through small gestures, eventually starting a relationship when she was fifteen. Wyatt and Callie are at a gas station filling up his car. He remarks that its fun having fun with her, which she agrees with. It is also shown that she doesn't care what happens to her, as long as she knows that he is safe. Isabella thinks she should stay with Mariana a few nights a week so Callie and Gael can hang in his loft together. Kathleen carefully says that their only option is to put Tommy on the stand so the jury can see what theyre seeing - that Tommy loved Zack. She felt betrayed by her sister who lied about the type of apartment building they would be living in. Kathleen doesnt think thats their concern as their job is to make sure the people they defend have due process. She is naive when it comes to certain topics - especially her birth mother, but she smartens up about her when finally realizing she was using her for money. She asks about Jamie to which Callie admits emotionally that things might be over. The one Callie should have listened to when she told Callie to drink water and not whiskey. However, Liam was persistent. He thinks the universe keeps pushing them together. Jamie didnt know about either, but Rothman just smiles triumphantly. Hes okay with that. She wants to record it and send it to their moms as video proof. Callie happily says that Isabella will move in with Mariana, Gael will move back to his loft, and she will move in with him. That night, Callie tries to pose sexily on Gaels bed, but Isabella walks in with Gael as she does. When Lena meets Callie -- hardened from being in and out of foster homes -- the couple welcome her into their home, thinking it is temporary. Even if the video does get in they will hopefully make the jury see that just because Tommy lied about the fight he isnt a murderer. Callie has the biggest heart and I love how she speaks her mind and stands up for what is right. Kathleen wants Callie to question him as she will bring out the best in him. He is excited about all the artists he met that night. Kathleen thinks that Jerod cant decide for himself right now, which is why Callie is trying to track down his sister though Kathleen isnt apprised of the situation. The defense rises and faces the jury. Earlier, Callie asked Gael about the parenting class as they cleaned the bathrooms. Callie comes down the stairs and tells Brandon that she found an empty house when she came home.
